I’ve watched Cole’s snaps. I just don’t see it right now. Might be a dude when he develops but I don’t see what is getting him on the field now.

Not really twitchy either from what I’ve seen. Locks up and that’s about it. Don’t know if that’s scheme related or what. It’s a big ask for a freshman DL especially one that wasn’t considered to be day 1 ready.

Lyle played on kick returns. So obviously was dressed. Not sure how anyone could question putting Allen in after we saw what he did.

at one point Cole was committed to the Cardinals. Mario is always about recruiting and spitting on their graves. Cole did put a bit of pressure on a couple of plays, I have not rewatched the game.

Malik showed out the last game I watched him play. Surprised he didn't get any reps.

Cole set the edge nice on a run play we stuffed that led to the defense getting off the field on 3rd down, but he didn't do anything of note pass rushing. Good for him getting reps against the team he spurned. Looked like he talked some **** to UL after a couple of plays too, which is nice.

#24 has been impressive; hope whatever kept him off the field doesn't keep him off the field the rest of the year. With Bain back Alston is now the backup JACK probably tough to play 3 guys at that position consistently. #24 will have to take reps from Alston rest of the year.

If he we was sick enough to not practice all week, I think it’s fair. Think the staff has proven to play guys that have earned it. He certainly has. For him not to have played, he must not have practiced all week and been THAT sick. I’m sure he will play this week

Don't know but would anyone be opposed to Mesidor supplanting Baron at DE? Baron had the big game against UF but appears a bit stiff, and Mesidor provides better twitch and bend off the edge.

It's also time to get Justin Scott back involved since he's been with the team since his father passed away. He was on the sideline at Cal and UL. It's not like he disappeared or requested time away so he should be ready to contribute here pretty soon.
