Anyone critique'ing....

thats nonsense. teams can play nearly perfect and still lose or in our case, make mistakes and still win. there is plenty we didnt do well, but even more that we did well in the win today. we still had DBs who couldnt get off blocks and thus allowed RBs to get outside, we had LBs that were out of position, we missed blocks, we dropped passes, morris made bad passes. we missed an extra point of a FG and had lapses in our kick coverage, we got called for plenty of dumb penalties. but we didnt quit and we showed alot of heart and resolve for a young team

sure the positive outweigh the negatives, but this was by no means a perfect game
 
Yep. The bashing on the game thread was **** poor. Board is in trouble, going to be Canestime free board soon.

there was nothing perfect about this game. im happy as **** we won, and this team showed me alot today, but we still made plenty of mistakes and have alot to work on. it was however a great starting point for the rest of the season
 
Problem is people have no perspective. Yes, we can point out mistakes made and things we need to fix. The team has a lot of issues, but the bottom line is, this is a VERY YOUNG team. This is a team of mostly Frosh and Sophs with almost no upperclassmen leaders. The guys who should have been the leaders and anchors for this team all bailout out early last year.

The thing is, with the among of Frosh and Sophs we are playing, these mistakes are going to happen, and these problems are going to exist. So you HAVE to keep things in perspective. I REALLY like what I see from our young guys. There is a SOLID core of young ballers on this team, and with a couple more years of developing them, and some continuity in coaching, I think these guys are going to be something VERY special in another 2 years. The blown assignments, penalties and turnovers are going to improve. Guys are going to get bigger and stronger. But the fundementals on this team are much better. Blocking, route running, tackling, are all better than anything we have seen in years here. Conditioning is also MUCH improved. This team hung tough and beat GT in the trenches in the fourth quarter of this game. And GT had a pretty good OL too.

I didn't think we'd win this one with how beat up we are at LB. needless to say I am very pleased with the W. doesn't matter how we got it . we were 2 TD dogs

There's a reason it's the Gameday Board and the Gameday thread. It's emotional being a fan(atic) during the game. It doesn't come on to this board.

If the complaints are about what is said on that Gameday thread (though there is some stuff that is weak), I think this thread is exaggerated.
 
this is a HUGE boost for our season. if we lost this it coulda been a tail spin. now we get a very manageable game at home (finally) vs NCST

i dont even think much of the stuff in the game threads is emotional, i would classify much of it as delusional and illogical. i dont see how saying every coach should be fired after every bad play or series constitutes being "emotional" and not being irrational

Not going to happen we on top of things here unlike Grassy..
That section of the board is our sacrificial lamb for peeps to vent..
