They looked like a train wreck from the highlights this morning! Checked the stats and Lamar had 5 carries for 4 yards! Also Vernon had 1 tackle! Thought maybe both of them would get quite a bit of burn in their first preseason game.

On a side note Laron led his team in catches and yards (3-33 yards).

Bailey for KC was the only one on the defense not to have a tackle. Is he that bad? Didn't hear anything from last year!

I saw a few games last night:

- Miller had no chance in his runs, as 2 or 3 Tampa players were already in the backfield to stuff the run. Hard to judge him because the block was terrible. On the bright side, he had 2 good screen pass caught, and was picking up the blitz good the few times he was asked to do it. We will have a better picture when he play with 1st team offense;

- Vernon was at least getting into the back field more, but did nothing out of this world. Solid against the run, but need to try more moves when rushing the passer. Once he develop those moves, imo it will be another case of a Cane doing more in the pros;

- Bailey was being double a lot, but at the few times he was one-a-one, it was the same Bailey of Miami... Bull rush, bull rush, bull rush. It´s just one preseason game, but he needs to fight off the blocks more. Easily blocked last night;

- Benjamin opened with a great catch, and imo was pretty good.... was opened more 3 times for a long TD´s but in one McCoy overthrew, and in other 2 Weeden and McCoy did not saw Benjamin already open. Benji showed he can beat the press coverage and be open in NFL, well, at least in one game;

- When I changed to Byrd game he was already on the bench, but from what I read he´s climbing the depth chart;

- Ojomo I saw involved in 2 play. Hitting the QB but touching the face mask, and being incapable of fight off the a block were the RB scored a TD running just at his side.

This is the I remember now, but you can take it too serious because it was the first preseason game for all of them but Byrd.

Benjamins catch was REAL nice. Straight over his head. Good to see him running free as you said Braseeele^^!

Great to hear about the ProCanes. I was always a big Byrd fan and wished that he was able to make that step up in 2010 and 2011. Anyways, good news for our guys.

I want to be a Dolphins fan. I really do.

They just make it really difficult.

Also ^ that reminds me of a couple of songs... :crownpour:

Mr. Optimistic to the rescue. It was just a preseason game, everyone looked horrible. The preseason is not a good estimate of a team's ability but a sample of their problems. Remember they have 3 weeks to fix these issues. Olivier was in the backfield but didn't make any plays. I see him having a Calais Campbell type career with the right coaching. And Lamar was -_____- in returns. I'm probably a bigger Dolphins fan than Canes fan and the season shouldn't be THAT bad. Two things can happen: 1. Philbin and co. turns out to be the real deal or at least better than Sparano's staff and the Dolphins win 9 games. They have the talent just haven't found the right coach. Or 2. Philbin is another Cam Cameron and they win 4-7 games as usual. The talent is still there but what if Philbin isn't the right one?
As far as management goes, I'm tired of Ross. I'll give Ireland a pass because he came in on short notice during the beginning of the 2010 season, after the offseason, and has had two good drafts(2011, and 2012 is yet to be seen but Tannehill looks promising).

So let me get this straight...Lamar carried the ball FIVE times and didn't get hurt? lol. Throw a party boys, he's already exceeded expectations.

I used to hold a policy stating that the only way for a person to lose their Hurricane status was to sign with the yankees. After the dolphins decided to give all praise and honor to tim tebow and the florida gators, Im considering adapting the policy to include everyone foolish enough to sign with that pathetic piece of **** organization.

**** THE MIAMI DOLPHINS!

And olivier vernon had ONE tackle. That means that he played in at least THREE plays. We know this because he'd have taken the other two off.

Yeah that guy was the Biggest underachiever here.... He got all that talent, but he was just concerned about himself. Making sure he can stay healthy for the NFL draft. I saw something saying that he only had a 3 year plan at Miami, no matter what the circumstances are. That attitude was the main problem @ Miami, everybody wants to just skip college and go to the NFL w/o doing squat.

Thankfully it seems like Al Golden knows how to recruit guys w/ a complete opposite mentality that wants to work hard and prove themselves at the college level first.
