Probably not. Best we can expect is to move up to about 80th. With 3/4 of the season behind us it's going to be hard to move the needle much in terms of ypg statisitics.

VT still had 421 yards on us. For reference, if we averaged 421 yards per game, we would be ranked 82nd, but since we are actually giving up 622 yards p/g (prior to yesterday), it's pretty much impossible for us to move up to middle of the pack. If we only let up 100 yards p/g the last 3 games, we would still average 474 yards p/g that would put us at 110th. Let's say we some how dont allow any yards to the next 3 teams, we would be averaging 449 yards p/g which would put us at 99th... Yes that is how bad our defense has been this year; we can literally not allow any yards over the next three games and still be ranked 99th (assuming everyone else's averages stayed the same).


Edit: Note this is all based on using yards for rankings, obviously points would be different and a whole other exercise.
