The guy was a 5 star recruited wanted by everyone. Like I stated earlier I refuse to believe that every school in the country wanted a try hard guy. I just don't believe Bama, UF, FSU etc would waste their time with him if he was a lunch pail guy.

I think you are right, the "Read and React" defense is cancer to a player like Chick....he will, like Sam Shields, will do well on Sundays.
 
Chickillo just isn't that very good, he is not that athletic. He got pushed around all night. Also long as we have him starting our dline will suck, if he is the best defensive end we have.

Jetfro made Chick into a standee for opposing OL.

This entire defense stands around as if they are standees on roller skates waiting for every offensive player to come to them. AQM, and McCord will be wasted in this defense.

He doesn't fit in a 3-4, true but I never thought the kid was that great to begin with. He was a very good player but not this bona fide stud. He was never overly athletic to begin with, he had an amazing week at the all star game and that propelled him to his crazy rating. Got MVP in that game because they double teams Clowney all game.
 
Chick is asked to do too much? He didn't do anything tonight. Literally did absolutely nothing at all. Logan Thomas was eating potato chips and drinking coors lights with all the fking time he had to throw.

He was highly rated before that and I had offers before that game. Its not like he blew up because of that game. Schools were after him hard before the all star games
 
Chick should of stayed at 250-255.. Again golden and No D trying to covert current players to fit their system instead of the opposite

He lost all of his explosiveness after his freshman year.... if he was in a 4-3 system like VT he'd be more effective. He would be more effective in a defense like Florida's as well it's just D'onofrio is WOAT.

He is asked to play a 5 technique on most of his snaps. There are NFL DEs who can't do that. Not to mention he has to do it with a **** for brains DL coach in Jethro.

Yeah he was a solid prospect but he wasn't a top 50 player before that. Also he was never this pass rushing demon some have suggested at. Does anybody still have tape of his senior year?
