Didn’t need to see anymore past 1 minute. This kid is a take imo. Trouble is do you push for him and take while you know you really want other QBs (most comitted elsewhere) on your board?

Who else are we taking tbh? MCLaughlin supposedly doesn’t have football intelligence and obviously the staff isn’t fond of Davis. Take a kid like Braxton and look into JT Daniels.

Ivins said this morning that Milroe has continued to talk to Lashlee as well as others, Alabama in particular. Milroe is at the top of the board. McLaughlin and Davis next. Davis continues to talk to the staff too as well as Auburn.....

He mentioned Chaydon Peery, the kid from Cali as one to watch, too. Has no offer from Miami but Justice had offered him at Arizona.

Staff also talked to Vattiato from USchool

You're really starting to see the next generation of kids in the DFW metroplex who grew up from 5 years old with personal QB trainers. This is one area where California got ahead of us for a few years but we're about to blow 'em away. It's incredible how much high quality QB play is coming out of this area. High quality and high quantity.

We have a much better shot with Milroe than people realize.

If we win while King having a big season, best believe we get him down for a visit & Lashlee will apply serious pressure to flip him.

If Herman has a bad season, no way Milroe sticks. UT was already loaded with 4-star QB's, they had 3 guys transfer because Herman has only started Ehlinger his entire time there, Buechele went to SMU last year, Cameron Rising went to Utah this season & Sam Saxon transferred to Stephen F Austin, they still have Casey Thompson who was a prolific 4-star passer coming out of HS in Oklahoma & Roschon Johnson another 4-star QB who they might actually move to RB to keep him from transferring.

Milroe is super close with the King family, if he sees King ball out in Lashlee's offense, we can definitely flip him.

Bama is only recruiting him as the next Jalen Hurts, but Hurts didn't blossom until he left Bama & went to Oklahoma in Riley's system, we'll be running a similar system here.

I definitely would take Braxton if we can't flip Milroe, but I think we can if the season goes as hoped.

Milroe is #1 on the board, if I'm the one making it.

This would be a great pickup

Milroe then Braxton. Braxton is a baller.
Exactly. Like my brother said, If we're a serious threat for Milroe you keep him at the top of the board. If the dominoes fall in our favor, he'd naturally be a skrong(that's stronger than strong fyi) flip candidate. But even with that said, you never put all of your eggs in one basket. IMO, Braxton clearly should be our #2 or maybe even our #1B QB priority. I'm not gonna wax poetic and get descriptive about this kid's skills, y'all know what y'all saw. He has everything it takes to be highly productive in a Lashlee O. And to top it off, we already have something that no other school in America has. The commitment of his security blanket. One less target to have to build rapport & timing with...

Bingo. El has spoken.

Can we really afford waiting until Late October or November with the hope of being able to flip a kid?

Another swing and miss
Not true, we never offered or even recruited him.

He was just a name that got mentioned as a possible QB that might be pursued because Likens had recruited him some at AZ St. This was not a swing or a miss because there was never any swing.

And tbh he's not a QB that fits what Lashlee wants. He's a secondary option.

I’m actually happy that we don’t have a meh QB committed. If Lashlee does what he’s supposed to then it’ll be a cleaner situation for a really good one to jump onboard.

I've been preaching it, but patience is necessary with the 2021 QB. Lashlee is a confident guy, and he must be telling guys, "Just watch. We're going to keep in contact even if you committed somewhere else. Just watch what we do and let's talk again."

He's going to revolutionize this offense and get us out of the Stone Ages. I understand kids needing to see it because we've been garbage on offense forever. There's only so much talk that some can hear.

I just have a feeling that when we show people a high-octane, fun, modern offense that doesn't plod and slog along like a fcking sloth, we are going to change some minds.
