When I was at Beach High we had Coach Jim Kroll who came from or went to Southwest. Coach Kroll had Duane Starks, Samari Rolle, Demetrius Brown, Chad Johnson and my classmate and Junior and high school friend, Michael Dames.

Back in my day as a freshmen 1972 at Southwest Jupin was varsity coach and Ellis was JV coach , Jupin retired in 73 and a former Miami Dolphin Paul Skeens took over a varsity HC.

Kroll came after I was gone , oh by the way if I could do my high school again RIGHT NOW I'D DO IT the greatest time in my life..

Coach Kroll didn’t like how rough I was playing basketball in PE class one day and threatened to play me telling me he grew up playing street ball and there’d be blood and all kinds of ****. He was mad I quit football after 9th grade. I sucked compared to those kids and I needed to focus on schoolwork. I wasn’t getting a scholarship. Not sure why he cared. He did say “you people” when he was going at me.

Coach if you are on here, I still think you’re a ****.
 
15 was playing wide receiver and safety until his senior year in Highschool. Idk if we’re going to be able to spot another one of that dude maybe ever.

He probably meant Jews, not Blacks.

That’s exactly what he meant being that:

A. I’m not black,
B. I’m ******, and
C. His statement was “You people are always complaining...”

I very much respect teachers and coaches for their public service to our kids. I’ve had some who made a difference in my childhood. But this shît I never forgot.

He was lecturing me that you don’t play football for a scholarship because I said I wasn’t good enough to get a scholarship and get into college through football so I’m going to focus on getting into college by studying because that was my only way to get to college. Then he went “You people” on me.

I think its more about they have kids who come in freshman and sophomore then leave for Palmetto or Southridge their junior and senior years
