Another potential 2017 wr

Inside the Huddle: Wide Receivers -Class of 2017

It would seem that Fishbein and company think he has potential. His stock is apparently rising and we'll see if it rises enough to garner the attention of those on the staff.

Film wise, he's ahead of Scott and depending on what you're going for, Dingle.

Mike Harley, Carmoni Green, Antoine Thompson( who's not even on here ) and Manny Greene eats this kid's lunch...lol at that pathetic excuse of a list

No offense to you though in cane

Looks like he's headed to Kentucky, plus we haven't even offered him yet.

I understand but his senior year has not started and the signature is not on the dotted line. I've been following recruiting 20 plus years. Every year there are local kids that blow-up their senior years and get late offers.

This kid seems to be in that potential territory.

He has 27 offers, he already blew up and the only P5 schools that want him are Kentucky and WVU

On top of that, he plays bad competition and his team finished 3-8.

How does being on a bad team project am individuals success in college? That makes no sense. The competition thing I can understand, though. His physical attributes, though, size, quickness and deep speed are all there.

Yes he does have a lot of offers but again this is PRIOR to his senior year, rook. A lot of gems can get lost from people chasing only the same guys repeatedly. I would clearly take this kid over Scott and although i like Dingle a lot, this kid has a lot of skill.

Yea I'm the rook, well lets see numbnuts

You just said a kid that isn't being recruited by ANY of the Florida colleges, bad competition(that he doesn't dominate btw, that's the significance rook), and an extremely limited route tree ( unlike Kevaughn Dingle ) as a "plan B" guy...are you Al golden in disguise?? He isn't even that fast, he's probably a mid 4.5 guy Mr. "I've been following recruiting for 20 years" and I can't find anything that has him invited to any of the Florida camps...unlike Rishard Dames( a true underrated SFL prospect ) who showed up at UM's camp and blew the staff away. We're on 7-8 different WR's that are heads and shoulders better than him.

Go back to the drawing board rook.

Z why do you engage with them. You supply fact in most instances or quality insights. Plus I wholeheartedly trust in CMR and this staff's judgement on prospects to offer and accept commitments from. IMO this kid not in Matt Landers class and certainly not better than Dingle or Scott.

The list was a joke, DJ Edwards showed up at 8 and 13!

However, from that list I would like to see us make a play for Jordan Pouncey even though he's committed to ND. I think Daewood Davis is worth going after again as well, probably top 5 pure athleticism on that list, kid just needs guidance.

Anybody have info on the Bostic kid?

Wrong again rook.

1. For someone who played such bad competition it's interesting that we offered Guervan hall from the same high school. Another naive comment.
2. I know you're still hanging on to your claim to athletic fame in sniffing around Ridleys underwear drawer in high school but talking about his limited route tree is laughable when you look at a kid which his deep speed, short area quickness and the fact that he shows multiple different routes in his film ;)
3. You're actually naive enough to think a bad injury didn't affect his invitations or simply the fact that coaches make a ton of evaluation mistakes every year proves you're a rook. Keep trying though.
4. This kid has better upside than Scott and the only two kids I would take over him are obviously jeudy and smith. Grimes is all osu. His upside is all better than Harley.
5. I've been following recruiting a lot longer than you and apparently so has fishbein whom dozens of universities have trusted for a decade for Florida guys. I think I'll trust him over the angry south Florida kid who's claim to fame was following Ridley around in high school.
6. Guess we'll see senior year ;)

Yes because typos never happen. That makes it a 'joke'

That's exactly what he doing. Trying to find a gem and then get credit for it.
And no one has ever said "Wall Street version" in any context. You're trying to hard.

No credit at all. Just pointing something out that was justified by the states best evaluator. You can't be too bright if you're
'Insulting' my analogy, either. Kind of shows your substandard intelligence.

kids very talented. Guys who went in on you in this thread are either lazy or horrible talent evaluators that rely on rankings & offers.

LMFAO hamburgerhipster

1) they do play bad competition and have horrible coaching since they're the most talented team in their division but still went 3-9 with West Boca high, Olympic Heights (in Boca) and Royal Palm beach as their wins. Then were blown out by the two best teams in Dwyer and Belle Glade, in that division it's Belle Glade and Dwyer than everybody else...I'm pretty sure the only other D1 guy from that division not from Palm Beach Lakes, Dwyer, or Belle Glade was Jonathan Garvin before he transferred from Lake Worth. Hmmm I wonder if Gurvan Hall dominated the camp scene(since most of these guys have been doing camps since sophomore year) and dominated during the season??

2) I guess 3 different routes is a vast route tree

3) I'll make sure to tell Penn State, Louisville, Missouri, USF, UCF, Alabama, Wisconsin, Florida, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Northern Illinois, Iowa State, Appalachian State, Bowling Green, UCONN, ECU, FAU, Illinois, Indiana, Marshall, McNeese State, NC State, Oregon State, Purdue, Rutgers, Southern Miss, Syracuse, Temple, and Toledo to recruit him harder

4) LOL Mike Harley was dominating the opening and you could make an argument that he's just as good as Devonta and Jerry just based off the Paradise camp tape

5) LOL, dude I sniffed Calvin's panties?? We didn't even go to the same high school, we played rec against each other. Not to mention I'm better friends with Shawn Burgess-Becker than him....AND they're not the only people I know. You haven't had one legitimate argument.

Wall Street version? Wtf does that mean?...

Rich mans version: he's Scott with an actual burst and deep threat speed.

Gotcha. I've always heard a poor-mans version, referencing down to someone, never actually heard it referenced upwards.

That's because it doesn't exist, I just asked my dad if any one has ever said that in the scouting profession and he spat out his coffee and said that was hilarious....they say Rich man, not wall street version

Your dad isn't very intelligent, either: Wall Street was an analogous (and obvious) way of saying rich man. I didn't realize all adjectives and analogies were contained in a little notebook . Maybe in the zbrod Ridley household?

;)

(Looks down at pants) no hard on. Sorry.

I don't recall ever putting dingle down, either.

Regardless of your posting the gist was clearly his week 1 stats from the 'plan c' kid

Wellington daddio. Interesting that Gurvan Hall plays for the same school and yet no one has an issue with his competition level.

Apparently more schools happen to be agreeing with fishbeins evaluation of him, too (now that he's injury free). Louisville and Penn state being the latest.

;)
