One of Mario Cristobal’s best evaluations since coming to Miami was OG Anez Cooper. The former three-star is now a bona fide NFL prospect and leader on Miami’s offensive line. He spoke to reporters after the Canes' second practice:

Him and Rivers were a really, really nice surprise last year on the OL. Rivers really held it down at LT and Cooper was stout up the middle. If we get the same out of those two, second year jump for Mauigoa at RT and one of the young pups step up we can have similar success on the OL. I just fear Carpenter is no Matt Lee.

I remember McKinnie about 5-6 years ago did a film training with our OL group..this was the Manny era..and they did an interview with him and asked him what he thought of the group..I’ll never forget him trying to find some nice things to say about the group but you can tell he wanted to say..”these guys are trash”.,,when they asked him how many NFL guys did he see in the bunch..he said, “MAYBE Navaughn Donaldson..that’s about it.” I knew we were doomed.

Would love for him to take a look at this group and give his thoughts. We have a legit 5-6 NFL guys in this OL room I think. Hope they don’t make a fool of me.
