amerson from NC ST

Fk NC State and the ACC (except UM of course), hope Tennessee takes them behind the woodshed.

Hope they are so down and demoralized that by the time they play us they will quit.

Their lines are slow and lumbering and their lb's angles remind me of us two years ago. Their QB is good, but the supporting cast is not good. Way too many dropped balls. If we play solid and disciplined ball, our speed and talent should win out.

Amerson shows that INT's can be an overrated statistic....

This.

A CB with a ton of INTs can be a red flag. Shutdown CBs usually don't get a ton of picks.

Guys who gamble in zone coverage are usually the ones with gaudy INT stats.

Amerson looks bulky and stiff to me. Doesn't look like a sudden athlete at all. He looks like a Safety.

Very Mike Rumph-esque( and I mean the one that struggled as a Niner)

Yep.

Rumph might've had a chance if he converted to Safety.

I think he eventually did with the Rams...

Amerson got totally exposed last night. Slow and stiff, if one game is any indication, his NFL stock took a hit last night.

More importantly, why didn't we recruit that Patterson kid? He's got the look of a serious playmaker.

Amerson is real aggressive. That first TD he jumped for the pump fake and it was over. He doesn't have elite speed to recover on a play like that - especially when the WR is an elite athlete and the QB throws it on the money.

2nd one, i believe him saying he thought he had help. never back pedaled at all. a guy who thinks he has deep help doesn't squat on a WR like that.

with all that said. he's looking to make plays on the ball all the time. he peaks too much and will get beat like that a few more times this year until he plays more honest. in the ACC he can get away with that usually though since the QBs and passing games aren't up to par.
