DL and LB.

Minimum of 4 DT's in this class and 3 DE's.

We don't need another WR or CB on this team. We need to fix the front 7 or we are going to struggle for years to come.

Irrespective of quality, how many total DL are on the roster next year (assume only seniors drop off roster)? Then, who should/could golden show the door? Who should be kept as warm bodies for practice? How many should we carry on the roster?
 
We need to bring in Bryant, Bain, and Bostwick.

If we can land other impact D-linemen, so be it.

But it's not really a numbers game right now. We can't expect true freshmen to come in and be major contributors at DL. We need quality over quantity.

We brought in 7 D-linemen last year, which is a healthy number. Hopefully those guys will pan out.
 
Bryant is the pure DT. Bostwick and Bain are the flex guys. Bostwick more ready than Bain.

Need a JUCO guy that can play the nose.

Not all of them will pan out...and they will be behind at the very least, Bostwick and Bryant right away. Ivery and Moore seem to be the best of the three that came in this year with Briscoe being a developmental kid.

im more worried about that dend spot in my opinion where we dont have a dearth of talent coming up...think we need a JUCO DEND.....

I think Bostwick could be a really really good DE. He is already a big boy but he doesn't have to be a DT. Brain is probably in the same boat but I like Bostwick a lot better for now anyway.

Agreed about the JuCo DE though. I think the freshmen will be OK at DT especially with a kid like Bryant coming in. We are just in a tough spot maturity wise up front all the way across.
 
I'd like to see us go after the JUCO/Prep ranks and find a really good DT and DE to supplement the younger guys as they develop. If we find some ready-for-primetime guys out of the JUCO or Prep ranks, then they can help take some of the heat off the Earl Moores, Dequan Iverys, and Jacoby Briscoes on our roster while they develop into D1 ballplayers.

One really good elite bull of a DT can make one of those other younger guys look good and help them develop on the job even quicker.

Yeah I don't think anyone would disagree.

Shannon really seemed to shy away from the JuCo linemen that could cause problems with either attitude or admissions. Golden has shown a willingness to take some risks so we will see. Tough year to toy with scholarships though.
 
Assuming that our current class remains in place, I'm thinking bain, bostwick, Cunningham, Kirk, Thomas, and Tim Williams. Maybe grace and that d end from norland.
 
gogeta, you don't see Hamilton, O'Donnell, Williams and/or Hoillett developing at DE? Plus McCord/Terry as rush end?

I like Jelani (He played in first game...but i still thinks hes a UTOUGH AWAY)...

O'donnell love the size potential just havent seen him play yet.

Williams..done with..if he hasnt hit the two deep with the guys we have starting now he never will

Hoilett undersized specialty player imo....

Mccord and Terry both arent even 220.....Terry looked real physical for a small guy...seen Mccord set the edge once in 1st game..but also pushed around a bit too...love his potential though.

We Need at least one STUD/DOMINATE JUCO DT!!!! A Can't miss cat...
