As I look over the roster, we’re still very young in some areas, but we have definately upgraded the talent level overall.

Thanks to Golden and staff for have an eye for talent, as well as pushing them for greater development, I believe we have some guys that are going to make a name for themselves in 2013/2014.

No need to jump out there to declare All American candidates, but let’s place our picks for at least All ACC…

Here’s mines:

Offense:
1st team QB – Morris (30+ TD’s & under 10 Int’s, and it has to be a lock)
1st Team RB – Duke (No GIO, all Duke in 2013)
1st Team WR – Scott (Our goto guy in 2013 ala Hankerson)
1st Team OL – Linder (Lock if he plays all year)

2nd Team FB – Hagens (W/him running the ball, it’ll draw attn to his solid blocking at FB)
2nd Team OL – Feliciano (Doesn’t get the attention, but he plays thru the whistle)
2nd Team OL – Henderson (Depends on his attitude and consistency)
2nd Team WR – Waters (Return game contributor coupled with 25+ catches @ 20yd Avg.)

Honorable mention (Offense): Hurns, Dorsett, Bunche

Defense:
1st Team DT – Pierre (Breakout year to turn heads)
1st Team LB – Perryman (if allowed to stick to 1 position; lock)

2nd Team DT – Porter (has to prove he can go all year for 1st team)
2nd Team DE – Chickillo (Subject to at least 7 sacks for 2nd team consideration)
2nd Team LB – D. Bond (Pure gut feeling pick @ 10 Sacks on the year)
2nd Team FS – Bush (Best we have; not the best in the league yet)

Honorable mention (Defense): Robinson, Kirby, Cain, Howard, Crawford, Gunter, Jenkins

All ACC Freshman Team: A Figueroa, C. Elder

What do you guys think?

before I even got into list, Boyd will be favorite going in and most likely preseason all acc, plus with offense he plays in he will put up numbers so even with a solid year to say Morris is a lock is a stretch.

Dorsett is gonna blow the roof off every D we see this year, dude is gonna surprise everyone. Those drops vs ND were a blessing in disguise, he will be on a mission

Perryman
Bush
Duke
Morris
Scott
Hagens
Henderson
Linder
McDermott
Feliciano

All possibilities. Wow.

It's always tough to get a receiver on there with so many guys splitting catches. But I'd say Dorsett has the best chance.

Don't sleep on Clive Walford. He could grab the second team spot or, if he really turns it on, give Eric Ebron from North Carolina a run.

I agree. People forget how young he still was last year. He basically did nothing the season previous which is why I never understood the expectations for him last year.

He put in the work and really improved. Should be a lethal combination with Morris.

Henderson, Feliciano and Linder should all make it, whether it be 1st team or 2nd team.

Morris will make it.

It will tough for any of our WR's to make it because catches will be so spread out.

I feel like Pierre is gonna do big things this season. He'll make it if we have a good season and our defense is atleast mediocre.

Perryman.

Maybe Bush.

yup, people dont realize that he's probably our hardest working WR in the offseason too. Kid puts in serious work with the track team, Utough and in the weight room. Cant wait to see him breakout this year!

Boyd lost one of his bigtime receivers...and let's hope Sammy continues to mess up, and you've got a running QB with no one major to throw to.

Morris on the other hand is surrounded by weapons...I like his chances.
