Alex Collins interview...

Just watched the one from today on Scout.

The kid really comes across as thoughtful, intelligent, and genuine. He has his own plan, and IMO certainly isn't playing any games. He's handling recruiting the way I would want my kid to handle it.

Didn't really tip much. Confirmed he is taking his final two visits to UM on 1/18 and Arkansas on 1/25.

The interviewer did a poor job by getting him to talk first about Wisconsin, and then Arkansas, but changed topics to visits instead of asking about the three Florida schools. Not too surprising as she's the midwest reporter.

Anyway, he really comes across well as I said. I hope he comes here, because he seems like a real solid guy, in addition to his football abilities.

He says he will make a decision when he feels comfortable that he's decided. I'd guess that means a few days before LOI day.

He'd be a great Cane and a great alum in the future.

If it wasn't for that stupid coach it would be a lock. It's actually worse now that his friend is at Arky rather than Wisconsin cause im sure serious coin is going to be involved. I love how we are hit by the NCAA even tho its Miami who is having to to come into recruiting gun fights with a knife because of all this $ec garbage. I tired of bull****. I hope AC makes the right call but I have an awful feeling.

Collins is a back that will help take the offense to another level. Feel like we are going to be very good regardless, but he's nearly a perfect compliment to Duke and the 2 of them could do some serious damage behind our OL next year.

Completely agree. He is an intelligent, well-spoken kid that seems to be mature. Its the reason I have always dismissed any comments about him potentially having grade problems. Just doesnt match the way he presents himself

Wow so there is another AC interview up on Scout tonight. Since they already did the recruiting one referenced above, they just talked about what its like to go through the recruiting process. Again, he's such an impressive young man.

This kid needs to be a Cane. I think he's the type of kid who will "get" what it means to be a Hurricane, why its a special place that produces a ton of NFL talent, but isn't a factory.

He's the kind of kid I could see in 25 years getting excited about sending his kid to Miami like the great Ray Lewis spoke of today.

What a great kid. I hope he realizes what a special opportunity he has here with Coach Golden. Kid is gonna play a ton quickly, win big, and pipeline right into the first round of the NFL draft.

I won't hate a great kid, and 18 year old kid, a person, if he chooses his own path. He is handling the process with class, there aren't any rumored payoffs, he's doing exactly what he should. I want him to come here badly and I think UM and Al Golden are the best choice for him. I look at some of the other snake oil programs he's considering (FSU) and am hopeful he sees through the bull****. But I won't hate on the kid.

Good for you. I award you the Planters Peanut Classiest Guy Award for this week. I'm going to hate anyone and everyone who rejects UM to go somewhere else. And that's especially true if he chooses either of those schools up north.

Between this years class & what could be next years class, oh lawd... Our Offense will be sick for years to come! If our defense can achieve that same level of depth & talent then you'll be lining up Nat'l Championship trophies year after year again. Golden knows this & it's why he isn't going anywhere.
