You think his best friend is going to fire him knowing he will be lucky to get a 100k per year positional coaching job? Especially when Al convinced him to come to Miami instead of taking the Temple HC job?
Nick Saban doesn't hire his friends.....Urban Meyer doesn't hire his friends.........Les Miles doesn't hire his friends......they stab people in the back....they are are not nice guys.......they do whatever it takes to win. They are the best in the business.
Bobby Bowden hired his son in 2001. Jeff Bowden "resigned" in 2006 after a 30-0 defeat to Wake Forrest. Jeff Bowden was one of the worst OC's in the history of college football. It completely destroyed the end of Bobby's career. Nepotism will kill a business or sports team.
Golden thinks loading the roster with 5 star guys at every position will make the difference; however, it won't. 5 star kids play like 2 star kids in this read and react conservative system. It is going to take Al another 3 years to get there. Next year's defense will be worse....we have nothing coming back on the interior DL. Those that think these 2 JUCO DT's are going to step right in and dominate are stupid (see Beau Sandland, Chase Ford, Darius Smith and all the other 5 star JUCO's Golden/Shannon brought in)
BOTTOM LINE........AL WILL NEVER FIRE DNOFRIO.....ACCEPT IT.
