Al Golden w/ Big Dog 8/19

Good listen. Not very much info, but Al sounds much more confident this year! He is very excited about the progress of the DL and the ability to stop the run more.
 
Quick notes

-lots of competition - have not set depth charts yet
-still lots of work to get done
-coley is good - learning from the older guys
-new DL will help
-expects D to be better - was better in the spring
-expects D to stop run better - new guys add to depth etc
-asked about article on recruiting
-it is an environment about U not me
-wants to have an honest open upfront manner that is about you not me
-wants to support and build the community long term
-wants to help the local high school coaches and programs
-wants to help little league on up
-it is all about building relationships and for the longterm
-gave an analogy to his father and investment banking

Sounds like the coaching staff is thinking about sliding T. Armbrister over to WLB b/c all 3 of the SLBs deserve to be in the 2 deep.

T. McCord is really creating a lot of competition at the SLB spot.

Why is it that every time I try to listen to an interview on that site, it cuts off after a minute or so?

You need a flash player plug in for it to work. If your using a newer android based device that is running Icecream 4.0 or higher then it won't work. You have to find a older copy of flash that is the most recent version up until Flash stopped supporting Android. Then you have to download it "side ways" ( yes that is the technical term for the process to circumvent various protocols).
