NOTES
- Proud of the players for fighting through the tough part of the schedule
- Said he was confident going into the VT game because he had seen how well the team prepared and that that is the challenge this week
- Said key to the 4th quarter was Defense giving up 22 total yards of offense and not allowing a score in the second half & VT did not convert their last 5 3rd downs
- Said expected Logan to run on us, said they attempted to " Collin Klien us" but besides the long run held them to 0-4 in the red zone with no touchdowns
- Confident DP and Deon will we healthy Saturday when the canes head to UVA
- was asked to explain how the Deon hit was a flag said "He couldn't" and believed it was a clean hit but will keep teaching him to keep his head up and club with his arms
- When asked about the possible bowl ban said he is out of it and doesn't have the facts... and his job is to actually win the coastal and focus on Virginia said." Its hard when people try and take the joy out of a win" said they beat an experienced VT squad.
- in the locker room after the game said. he addressed the team with the quote GOLDEN ISM " You are either part of the problem or part of the solution" and that he has a bunch of kids and coaches that want to be apart of the solution
- Golden said he could see it in Duke the week leading up to VT and told the offense to make sure they give Duke the ball because he looked like he was gonna explode for a big game
- He looked noticeably fresh, was finishing well and had a big smile and good demeanor the week leading up
- Said they aren't that top 10 team yet but are busting their butts to get there
- Pointed out NC State fell victim to overlooking UVA because UVA got all over them
