Says the only thing he has to do is take the ACT and he is good to go

Lol no **** he has to get a good enough score

But it's not like his problem is ****ed up grades that are impossible to get up at this point. If he's been studying, I would think he would be able to do it between now and June.

The thought of someone not having enough intelligence or will power to get a high enough score to get in is sad. If you're smart, it's not very hard and if you're not it just takes some practice. What are the minimum scores for the SAT/ACT for athletes at UM?

I guess it makes sense why we have kept Cunningham in the loop for so long.

Pathetic when a talented player makes it out of HS without the skills to enter college, more pathetic when he gets a second opportunity to right (possible HS impediments) things gone/done wrong in prep school or Juco and still can't get it done. I wish AJL well, but I think I've seen this play out before and am hoping this one has a better ending.

Honest question, how many kids go to prep school and don't have the grades to get in? It's usually test scores at that point, right?

Add this kid to the group of studs already at WR and Morris is going to break his own passing records next season...

Yep. And it's almost inconceivable that a kid can't get a passing score on standardized tests with a little practice. The standards for athletes are already ridiculously low.

Don't trivialize the difficulty of raising an ACT score. For instance, one-fourth of the ACT score derives from a reading comprehension section. If a kid has lousy reading skills, this part of the score can be very difficult to raise. An adequate ACT score is not a given. I wish the kid good luck, not just because he is a UM recruit, but also because he needs to clear this obstacle to move on to the next stage of his development. .
