For those worried about Miami’s recruiting ranking, and the abundance of 3 stars, get used to articles like this. Our coaches are very good to great evaluators and I see more 3s popping to 4s over this season.

I see Harvey, Payton, Huff and Couch strengthening their 4s, Crowley, Brooks and Holley become strong 4s from their current 3s, and Brownlee and Munoz also breaking into the 4s by season end.

Add in the 6-7 major recruits I see us bringing in over the course of the season, I see us finishing with another top 10 finish.

I said it the whole summer when people were worrying about our ranking in freaking June and July. Said many times, by the time February rolls around, we'll have a top 8-12 class which is exactly what we need after our ELITE class last year and what is setting up to be an ELITE class next year.

Was literally looking at the rankings thinking the same thing. I'm not sure about players coming off injuries and d-linemen getting big jumps, but there are only 16 recruits in this class as compared to the 19, 21, and 25 in the top 3. A lot of room for good talent to fill, which I imagine happens after stomping all over teams this yr

This staff does a really good job of identifying slightly under-the-radar prospects and offering them before they blow up during their senior seasons. We've signed a bunch of four star guys who were only three star when we offered. Even some of our 3 star signees look like they might have been undervalued coming out of high school.

Seems the staff has become more and more confident with their SF sleeper evals.

After the results they have seen from the under the radar SF dawgs they have recruited like Garvin, Steed, Rousseau, Ivey, etc. These guys have come in and outworked and outperformed blue chip recruits, even sent some packing back to their soft *** states.

I feel their model has shifted from all in on 4/5 star SF ballers to all in on the dawgs, regardless of stars.

Don't get me wrong they are still puttin the heavy press on guys like Stevenson, but to me seems like they're tellin any recruit without elite measurables and WORK ETHIC to kick rocks with their primadonna bull****.

Brock questions everything our staff does with regards to takes and then tells people they aren't built for recruiting. That dude is a typing contradiction.

Quit exaggerating you sound stupid as **** right now. Come on man lol

I would agree with you except if anything I think at best Couch keeps his 4 but possibly falls to 3. Also don’t think based on what happened in game 1 that Munoz breaks into 4 territory. Agree with everything else.

Munoz & Holley probably stay 3 stars, we'll being around that 8-12 range when everything is said and done

This Miami staff is elite when it comes to evaluating recruit's!! Our staff have a eye for GEMS..

I really believe by the end of the season and near NSD, Miami will have a lot of their targets and current commits as 4 star prospects, putting the 2019' class in the top 10..

Holley may be in store for a bump... Cassidy from Rivals tends to feature him when he does a write-up for HS games in the State of GA.

The staff knows what they’re doing. This recruiting class will finish in the top 10 but our commits don’t need validatation by internet “scouts”. The staff knows what is UM caliber for their program, definitely not the same 3 star talent that Al Golden thought was “UM caliber”

I feel you. I hedging that Couch at least keeps his status due to the strength of his defense. And Munoz I wouldn't out too much stock into his first game in almost two years.

Its probable, I was just pointing out that you had him strengthening his 4 star ranking, and I feel he has a better shot at losing it than gaining it. Think he is right where he should be as a low 4.

I agree with almost everything that you said. I think Brooks and Crowley will become 4s, but I just don’t see Holley dominating enough to the scouts to receive a 4th one. I do think that he’s worthy of one though.
