No Juco DT or DE brought in? what the story

We all knew DL was our Achilles yet not addressed

McCord was a highly touted recruit...as was Jelani Hamilton. Both guys are just not ready to play. Same with Hoillett, Moore, etc. Next year, we will have an effective pass rush.

We brought in 7 defensive linemen. It's just rare for true freshmen to make an immediate impact on the DL.

Recruited a decent amount of JUCO DL hard. Remember those Samoan teammates that were going to visit but I don't think they made it. Also were trying to get in on the Bama transfer that ended up going to TN. Just didnt close on them.

If you miss on your top JUCO targets I don't think it's worth it to take a lesser player just to say you got him

Hamilton was in the game. We need the DT penetration and you will see the entire defense play better.

I saw Hamilton penetrate well on one play, but the RB went by him so quickly, I think it surprised him. It was a lot of guys first game in a college game, so I will wait and see how things go with Dline as the year goes on.
