Top Five Games in the Second Half

Miami at Florida State (Nov. 2)
Bragging rights in the Sunshine State are always on the line when these two teams face off. This game is crucial for both in recruiting, and for Miami to show the gap with Florida State is closing. The Seminoles have won four out of the last five in this series, including a 33-20 win at Miami last year. This matchup is important for the Hurricanes, but maybe not as key as the next one…

Virginia Tech at Miami (Nov. 9)
If Florida State-Clemson on Oct. 19 is the defacto ACC Atlantic championship game, this game is the defacto Coastal Division title matchup. This contest features one of the league’s best offenses (Miami), against perhaps the best defense in the nation (Virginia Tech). The Hokies have won five out of the last seven in this series, but the Hurricanes won 30-12 last year.

notice they had us at 11-1 with a better record than FSU but losing to FSU. Cant say I wouldnt take that.

I would gladly lose to FSU if it meant beating VT and winning the coastal w/ a match up vs Clemson or FSU (again).

ESPN said:
Best coach: Miami’s Al Golden -- He beat Florida. He has the Canes at 5-0 and ranked in the top 10 for the first time since 2009. Oh, and the program still hasn’t heard if it will face further sanctions from the NCAA. Golden has kept his team focused and winning, and brought the Canes back to relevance in the national picture.

I'd rather have the win over FSU and the worse record. But if Miami beats FSU and still finishes with a worse record they aren't playing in the ACCCG, so... Maybe not.

I'm not one to look at a schedule and accept a loss

Every Saturday we practice and gameplan to win I doubt the team accepts defeat any week they strap up

When was the last time we lost a recruit to VT? Need to beat FSU for the NC and next two years of recruiting. We have VT-- just a big running qb and now we actually tackle.

The FSU game is 18 days away, so much can happy between now and then. For us that will be our 3rd game in 17 days. For FSU it will be their 3rd game in 15 days. We travel 2 out of the three games, FSU will only travel once (Clemson this week).

Miami was battling FSU all the way until thr 4th quarter..... it was 16-13 until then, thats when our lack of depth and youth became a problem.

No way am I just accepting FSU is just going to beat us like they are the hands down better team, I dont see and i'm not buying it.

Every week I expect these Canes to win, if they got to play FSU twice this year, I expect them to win both times.

FSU beats clemson , we lose close to FSU, only drop a few. beat them in ACC title, play for MNC.

I think we roll in tally, but I could see this happen as well.

No way we are, or any acc team, with one loss playing in a title game. Undefeated or gtfoh.

That VT game is huge. That is NOT the game to implode.

Even beating FSU means little if we can't take care of VT.

ANYONE ANYWHERE! DAMMIT MAN!

Not just yet. Golden is playing the NCAA at their own game - scheduling easy in state games to pump up that record.

If he continues recruiting the way he has then we will have a team capable of making that statement - only it'd be on our terms.
