Not my style( I am more old school like Charlie Wilson or the latin Gypsie Kings), but apparently this is the new rave among UM students per both Caneinsider, Canesports , and the Student Section from the game.

expect more and more of this type of stuff as UM raises its academic standards. before you know it our students are going to start behaving like duke students. in all seriousness who cares??? its good to see them having fun.

If you have kids, then you'd understand. You have to see the original video, which was cut somewhere in one of the Baltic states. Video is so stupid it is hilarious. Good on the UM students and the Band of the Hour and Sebastian. They integrated the other ACC mascots. Very creative. Great exposure and it was on CBS on line. That being said, lighten up.
 
Odds are anybody complaining about this was whining about the white out vs UF too. Make it as fun as possible for the students so they show up and support the team
 
the original song is a parody by two Norwegian (i think) comedians

its making fun of the stupidity of current dance music

it became somewhat viral a few weeks ago as a joke and UM turned it into something even better

this was really cool --- its a parody of a parody

hope that clears it up

Exactly. Its a silly semi-inside joke by UM/students. Its silly, and fun, and awesome. I wouldn't say though that "its making fun of the stupidity of current dance music" though, I'd say its making fun of the stupidity of that particular song, which anyone in EDM wouldn't even acknowledge as being part of "current dance music." Its notable, and prolific for being a train wreck:-)

I'm all for the Ultra vibe we put on during gameday, but this is *** as F.

We're 3-0, though, so for now I say keep it.

Honestly, let's get the young people excited to be at the games and coming back, instead of the crusty ol' curmudgeon idiot I was sitting next to in the nosebleeds at the SSU game.

Thanks for that info, now I understand the concept. Personally, jmo tho, it's not my thing. Nadiamuf, I liked the white out idea, personally I wore my white 6 jerz to the game. Not basin it, just didn't like it.
 
Well, its not the same as playing 2 Live Crew's "Face Down *** Up" over the loud speaker but I guess its kinda cute for the current generation of kids. :drevil:
