Ummm, Mario has been the head coach in a bowl game at some point in his career. Lane has NOT been the head coach in a conference championship game at any point in his career.

You lose to a team in a given year. Not against "all their history". There are years when Alabama and LSU have been terrible too, and years where Utah has been great.

Therefore, the losses to Utah that YOU are referencing are, indeed, comparable.

2021 - Oregon loses (twice) to Utah (Pac 12 champ, and #12 final ranking)
2022 - Ole Miss loses to Alabama (not SEC champ, and #5 current ranking)
2022 - Ole Miss loses to LSU (not SEC champ, and #16 current ranking)

So...yes...comparable...

Don't try to use 100 years of history to try to explain why those losses are "different" somehow.

Nowhere did I say they were "the same". You are the one who is constantly trying to explain away Lane's lack of success by whining about the hard-hard SEC. Not my fault.

It was your snarky comment about Mario missing a bowl game THIS YEAR which richly deserved the response that Lane doesn't get to play an "extra game" because he misses out on his conference championship. Every year. He's finished fifth, second, and fourth in his DIVISION thus far.

Here's a suggestion. Don't make an arrogant comment, then get annoyed when someone makes a similar remark back to you.

That's not what was said.

What was said was that a LOSS to Utah in a year where they win the Pac 12 and finish #12 in the rankings is, INDEED, a comparable loss to, say, Alabama or LSU when those teams are ranked, yet fail to win the SEC.

But carry on with your distortions of what people actually said. ****, you think guys are hitting on you, so I can't be responsible for your tenuous grasp on reality.

And even when you are crystal clear on your terms, as I was when I compared a 2021 loss to Utah to 2022 losses to Alabama/LSU, he will still come back and claim you said things you never said.
