Al was on QAM this morning, some recruiting stuff in there -

-Recruiting we are excited. We will finish really strong.
-Coach Cristobal brings HC experience. Mario can help with anxillary HC things. He sees big picture as a former HC. Recruiting-Exciting about Cristobol connects in NE and SF. Cristobal and Golden had the same experience- FIU & Temple.
- Said we have "elite elite" track guys joining the team as well.
-On the game plan now until signing day- "My gun is loaded. I'm going to be out and about the next couple of weeks. Focus on Florida and South Florida"

This dude just said his gun is loaded. Goon. We back.

I can't get this image out of my head of Al Golden as a young Godfather. Always in a suit, not a hair out of place, laughing it up in the back of a dimly lit restaurant with a couple of coaches, and guys like Duke and Deon. He is ruthless and very calculated. His attention to detail is outstanding. He is on top of every recruit and plans his moves in advance. Notice how he leaned over to Carroll at the table, whispered something, and Kermit was removed from the 18th. He's always one step ahead.

Next weekend is huge but so is this weekend. So many top players will be at the junior day! I expect some commits the next two weekends

I just listened to this, and he clearly mentioned "a couple" of guys with elite, elite speed. Burns is the no brainer. Wonder if we're more serious about Kermit than the fanbase assumes? Can't think of any others who fit that bill - "elite, elite".

Nice catch. I started looking through our recruits and couldn't find someone else other than Burns. Maybe he thinks of Coley, but Coley doesn't have that kind of straight line speed. Rashard Robinson has freakish speed for his size, but "elite?"

Maybe he's trying to convince Dalvin Cook to skip his senior year of HS.

+1
Burns is obvious. Kermit is one of the fastest track guys in the nation and is a special teams animal. That's who I thought of...

-also, pointed out that junior day will be the THIRD recruiting class he has to address NCAA investigation. Three years. ****. What a terrible joke this NCAA bs is.
