Just wow @ the Portis and Wayne TDs. And Ed's general dominance.

'99 team beats our current team by 50.

"And the Hurricane faithful can start thinking about next season, which should be a bright one for Butch Davis and his Hurricanes."

That's being generous. Remember when we used to make lame *** teams from the ACC look slow? Now whenever we play any D-1 team, it looks like we're playing against a team of Usain Bolts.

So many players on that team that didn't end being big stars, but were great contributors that I would KILL to have on the '12 squad...guys like Blades, Walters, Bubba, Myers, etc.

thanks to the state of florida i wasn't able to even go to this game despite it being here....smh

On the 9:19 mark, who's the nose tackle that simply destroys his opposing O-lineman?

Remember The Great Kelly vs Dorsey Debate? Ironically that was Kelly's last game in a Hurricane uniform.

Who played the better game on that day?

Santana Moss would score 12 TDs on our secondary. I have no doubts.

Duke is going to give us some of those Portis moments though.

After that game, the consensus of most Miami fans seemed to be that Dorsey was the future. I certainly felt that way. A lot of people speculated that Kelly chose baseball because he knew Dorsey would beat him out.

Incredible how many studs were on that 8-4 team. In that highlight alone I spotted six future Pro Bowlers (Portis, Wayne, Moss, Reed, Franks, Morgan) and two other guys who were first rounders (Joseph, DLew).

Man I miss these types of teams. Lots of underclassmen but still played with speed, toughness and swag. This defense had some downright goons on it too. Nate Webster is one of my all time favorites although most people forget about him.

LOL @ Ed Reed. While getting tackled after the punt block, that mf is looking for somebody to pitch the ball to. Thats cost him at times over the years, but the man never gives up. He's always trying to score.

I would take ... a richard mercier.. from just one of the O Lineman... I forgot about bubba franks.. man he was special here..

Same here. I think Perryman reminds me of him more than any other former UM LB.
