We have 76, so says 247. Are we going to be short again. Or do we just grab more transfers???????? Let me know what you think.

85 isn't the issue; 25 max per year is (although a couple can be counted with last year's) We do not have 9 available schollies for this year.

Let you know after spring practice and the additional portal transfers come through. We have 76, so says 247. Are we going to be short again. Or do we just grab more transfers???????? Let me know what you think.
Thank you for the information. So, according to you, how many spots are available for this year?Mahoney leaving (and any other transfer leaving the program) has zero effect on our initial counters available for this incoming class.

I have the read the other threads, but the numbers are all over the place (6-10). I wish we could get the precise number. You're welcome. And it is by no means just me, several other posters have put some work in to try and figure this out and there have been a couple of threads on this topic in the past couple of weeks.
But I believe the current consensus is 6 spots remaining.
as of right now we have 15 people committed/signed, 3 EE, im pretty sure all three count for the previous year. Now thats 12 add the 5 transfers, gives you 17. The new walk-on rule does apply, in this case leaving us with 8 spots.This. We do not have 9 spots left in this class. We currently have about 6 spots (the new walk-on rule may increase that number).
And @twes.305, educate yourself on the NCAA's scholarship rules before you start calling people idiots. 25 initial counters per year; 85 scholarships max on the roster. Just because we have room on the roster before getting to the hard cap of 85, does not mean we have enough initial counters left this year to get to 85.
And I don't think anyone ever said we didn't have space for Emerson. You might be thinking of Boykin.

So does that give us 3 transfer spots outside of the 6 for signing day, or only six total to sign as a whole? Appreciate it.This. We do not have 9 spots left in this class. We currently have about 6 spots (the new walk-on rule may increase that number).
