historically, 87 and 88 will always be tops because of what was at stake( national title runs) but I think for Al Golden( who I dont believe had won a game as a road dog) this was incredibly important. Today, just a few weeks after laying down in the Lil Apple, was badly needed. It was validation for many of the things Golden speaks off and today was what U-Tough is all about.

UM got off the canvas like Diego Corrales in the 10th rd vs Jose Luis Castillo.

As Mike Ditka would say- WE BECAME A TEAM!!! WE BECAME A TEAM!!!

No, Miami is winning any titles this year, but make no doubt about it, wins like this are the foundation for any regime( Butch had UCLA in 98) and for all the hard work and talk of the process, tangible results are needed. Today at Bobby Dodd, something special may have happened. The kids never, ever gave up and kept punching.

A few random thoughts:

- I really like Stephen Morris's intangibles and his demeanor. But geez, he will tease and tantilize you because for all his arm strength, his accuracy will frustrate you to no end. But the kid kept fighting and made some throws. But lets hope he can be a bit steadier moving forward

- Davon Johnson, what's that saying,'next man up?'Well today, he was huge and he may have found a role as a slot WR. Something we haven't had since Pimp Collier

- Chickillo, was great, his motor was running all day.

- Loved seeing the emotion of our guys, they acted like a group of young men who cared about today and the U, not NFL U and their futures

- So much more to say, but quite frankly, I'm breathless!!!

Amazing best win in years. Since Jacory's sophomore win over FSU

And on the titles thing. Is winning our ACC division that out of reach now??

After today I legitimately believe we can win the coastal. We grew up

next week will be huge, NCState is not a bad team, can move the ball through the air. Lets see if they can continue this mo' or have a hangover. One thing UM hasn't had yet under Golden is a long winning streak....

Depends. Is it the resurgence, or is it a one and done, like VT in '2005, FSU, GT and OK in 2009? It's wehat happens down the line that will define this day.

If this game didn't give them confidence in themselves and their team mates - nothing will. They kept swinging and landed some good licks - enough to win.

The defense now has seen that they CAN shut down folks when they decide to. They didn't know that for certain until today.

it sure looks good today. but Gtech was unranked. if we beat either Notre Dame or FSU, then THAT would be HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGEEEE

I just say, take it one week at a time and hold on for the ride. There will be ups and downs, but Golden and Co needed this type of victory in so many ways. And some guys really grew up today and that will be big going into the future

Amidst all this Shapiro garbage, etc, this program needed a moment like this. Let's enjoy it for what it is

As for the team, 24 hour rule in effect, then work on getting the first 3 game winning streak at UM under Al Golden
