We annually leave spots open for blue-chippers deciding in early February, but NSD being an abomination has become a Miami tradition.

This is actually the 5th class. It really seems like they don't want to play with a full deck....

I would expect a transfer or two. Maybe a late signing as well. Being at 80 its an issue for depth during injury and practice time.

Exactly. I don’t believe we are close to 80 either. The staff said this was the year they’d have numbers right. Diaz specifically said this during multiple interviews. It has gotten worse, not better on defense. #NoExcuse

Even more head scratching. Now we go into another cycle with depth problems at every level of defense, TE & RB. Anyone says we are fine at TE and RB is full of chit.

At this point I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that the limit for richt is 80. Saves the scholarship budget ~ 500k/year

In the end, the staff hoped to sign more guys today and it didn't work out, so in that way, being at 80 is a failure. But I wouldn't want to sign 5+more guys just to get to 85, unless they are grad transfers who come off the books right away. This staff is smart enough not to sign guys that aren't Miami caliber, and I do appreciate that about them.
