People think that this kind of stuff is "used car salesman" schtick and to be honest, it is a bit corny, but the cliched nature of it doesn't make it any less true.
It's all in the presentation and presenting it to the kids in a manner that will get them to buy in. Get them to buy in to a process and a consistent pattern of doing things that will make them successful. Incredibly hard to do when a bunch of these guys haven't had ANY level of structure in their lives. Once you get past the showy fluff, the message/plan is rock solid.
