possible swing of KSU loss, but UVA win
if we can beat any of ND, FSU or VagTech - we could be a surprise
I expect Morris to carry the O
and the D will be as good as last year, which is not amazing, but enough to win 8 games

Notre Dame just lost another good CB to an ACL tear as well. Something to keep an eye on for their season.

Edit: correction Achilles injury.

7-5
Thinking the Ga-Tech and NC State games can be flip flopped.

Love the optimism! However, I can't see how our defense will be better than last year with all this youth.

I think we will have to play just absolutely lights out to get to 9 wins. I think 7-5 unfortunately is the baseline. I also think that though 7-5 sounds depressing now, I could be clamoring for it by week 2. I dont think we can just pencil in teams as wins these days. Nothing screams BC is an auto win for us. Okay maybe Bethune. I dont think Duke is quite as auto as they use to be, and they always seem to play us tough even when we were better.

Losing four or five games is awful Way easy schedule. Need to stop losing and maybe win a cot**** game this year.

Looking at SOS, Phil Steele has the Canes with the 9th toughest schedule in college football in 2012.

big time OL play and I think 9 wins are possible.

just as much depends on what the DC does with the defense. our DTs lack a dominator but that just makes us like most teams. We can win with the guys we have at DT. We can win with the guys we have at LB (3 guys who've started). Should be able to do better than we did in the secondary simply cause McGee is more experienced and 2nd year in this system, VT is experienced overall and now in this system, and Gunter/Howard are more talented and instinctive than the guys they are replacing. If Kacy Rodgers can improve as much as it seems he has than the group should be much improved - might not be very good still but improved. We got guys who can do different things. I wouldn't even mind if we used Chick in more of an Elephant role and use 3 DTs at times. Robinson or Pierre could play some strong side DE - do it like the Dolphins are doing this year with Odrick playing DE. Just whatever works. We have parts available that can played with. Just need to be flexible.
