So if Bond and other don't get in, am I correct in thinking that we will only have 75 scholarships on the football roster (pre Scout's eligibility chart)? Wouldn't that mean that we head into 2013 with 10 scholarship reductions? If we received 9 scholarship reduction over 3 years, wouldn't we fulfill that in the first year? Moreover, I think we self-imposed some reductions already. :neonu:

I don't think you have computed your figures correctly. Remember, we will also have O'Donnel, and (hopefully) Derosier & Gilbert. I think we will have about 80 schollie players on the team.
We did NOT self-impose any restrictions in the past, as that cannot be done. Moreover, if the NCAA does, in fact, mandate restrictions, that would not ake effect until 2014, and it cannot be served all in one year, as you suggested.
Assuming about 80 on the roster, we will probably be able to sign about 5 guys as EEs this winter who would be back-counted toward the 2013 cycle.

Ora is correct. Right now we are 75 including O'Donnell excluding whoever might also qualify. I think we will be under 80. I disagree that we self imposed any reductions at this point.

You cant lump the reductions in one year. Hypothetically if it is 9 over 3 years you break it up 3 per year per NCAA rules so as to lengthen the effect of the penalty.

I'm pretty sure you could lump them in.

If I'm not mistaken its an either/or type deal.
