CP shows Duke how to hold the ball

Duke never fumbled the ball until this year. Not really a Duke issue, but hats off to CP. He is who Duke runs most like.

This is why we should have hired Soldinger.

Portis had horrible fumble problems early in his NFL career.

To this point, the similarities are striking. Portis surprisingly was rushed ahead of Olandis Gary on the 2002 preseason depth chart even after the former Miami star fumbled not once, not twice, but three times in an exhibition game against the Arizona Cardinals.

13 fumbles in his first three seasons in the league. So I'm not quite sure Soldinger "solved" his issues before he got to the league.

Guys are shown how to carry it, do it in practice, then revert to what feels more natural in games. That's why guys like Chuck Foreman and Tiki Barber continued to fumble so much. Barber finally got it fixed after 7 years in the league. Chuck Foreman supposedly got his fumbling corrected in the Senior Bowl. But, that was bull****. Weeb Ewbank showed him how to carry the ball and everyone made a big deal about how his fumbling was corrected. Of course it didn't correct anything. Foreman continued to be a prolific fumbler throughout his career. BTW, Chuck was really good despite his fumbles.
