5 star players at Miami

Lingard was a consensus 5 star.
Brevin was not a consensus 5 star but ESPN 5 star I believe.
Phillips was the number one overall player and a consensus 5 star.
Martell was a 5 star on one service.
Pope was a 5 star on multiple services.
Nesta was a 5 star on some services.

Talent is not the issue of why these guys haven’t met expectations. The jury is still out on all of them.

I’d say Duke but even he kind of faltered after his incredible freshman year.

You might have to go back to McGahee, Rolle, Olsen.

Duke Johnson was the last 5 star to come in andlook like a 5 star. Kid was electric as a freshman. Golden screwed up his college career by turning him into a three down back. Should have been used here like the Gators used Harvin.
I'll never forget that first game against BC. True freshman, dude had like 10 carries for 133 yards and 2 TDs. Was elite just the way he was but fat so wanted to feed him cheeseburgers. Smh

Duke did not falter after his freshman year.
He had 1650 yards plus rushing as a junior and 400 more yards receiving that year and over 10 tds. He had an elite year production wise as a junior

Yea or Reggie Bush, CJ Spiller, Darren McFadden, etc. I swear Duke could do anything on the field, even fly. I felt he put too much weight on him too. That being said, he still put up monster numbers.

The added weight gain help duke have his best year by far as a junior
He had a good year numbers wise but he definitely slower. He looked like he was shot out of a canon his freshman year and even a little more elusive.
As good as he was, he would've been even better as a weapon instead of fat so trying to turn him into a bruiser

That was a product of extreme usage.

He was not the same explosive playmaker he was his freshman year.
