Just realized that we are not that far behind Duke, Louisville, and Clemson, who all sit ahead of us in the standings with 3 losses. Of course, that could be illusory, and if we fall against VT on Saturday, we may have several more teams pass us. However, after Virginia, no one has really been able to pull away from the pack as the clear second best team in the league.
Following their 2 early losses, Duke seems best positioned to claim second place. Clemson (after Grantham's injury) and Louisville seem a bit more vulnerable.
Who knows what our Canes can do with the opportunity that is in front on us -- just pointing out that despite our ACC struggles, we still have a chance to salvage a highly respectable placing in the conference going into the ACC and NCAA tourneys.
