Two reasons and they're both NIL related. For one, If a kid has already finished his core high school classes and can enroll in college and start collecting big NIL checks, why wait until next year? Secondly, we're already hearing and reading about boosters getting gun shy on big NIL deals so these kids want in now before the market starts to return to a somewhat reasonable rate.

With NIL it means a kid can get to college sooner and start making money sooner. Would you rather do another year of high school or bust your tail finishing courses and then go to college with a bunch of money and take a redshirt. Potentially get to the league faster if you’re a guy like ewers who did that. Also loserville is handing out money and now they don’t have to fight to keep this kid committed for a year. Win win for all parties

Coming off an ACL injury & to reclassify this late….maybe he did it just to get a better rehab program and be around the college experience cause he’s definitely not playing this season. Good luck kid, we’ll see how he develops since we play Louisville every year now.

Maybe you should do some critics thinking and wonder why a coach with connections at the school and interest in keeping that pipeline going was not recruiting him more?
