Were L’villes 4th down conversions on PI legit?

Do you take them into consideration along with the fake punt, the KO return and the fumble we gifted them?

the defense is not good but are we being to harsh? If those things don’t happen this score could be completely different and possibly so could our overall opinions?

This is similar to VT game. We had a chance to pull away and make it a blowout. Things just didn’t flow that way.

With that being said, defense deserves plenty of blame. I would probably put it more in the players than on Guidry. At some point guys have to make plays, and routine ones.

Cal, we are in cover 3 and the corner bites on screen and gets blown by. You can argue it’s the coaches fault for some reasons, but the corner (and more often than not, guys aren’t doing what they need to). Yesterday we had attrocious angles.

The way we practice, I really don’t think it’s a lack of physicality. Guidry has coached us into some great schemes last year and this year too (UF). We are in a bad stretch and guys need to **** or get of the pot, for a lack of better words.

Haha not trying to sell it. Just asking the question
All good. There’s a few small things that happened during the game that I agree could have probably made the score more lopsided

Still difficult to try and find those things when we’ve basically done the same thing 3 games in a row I guess

Exactly. It took everything they had (fake punt, onside kick, 2 penalties on 4th down, fumble in RZ, 100yrd KR, prevent defense on last drive) to stay with in 14pts lololol. Not even going to mention all missed holding calls & ejection of Bell for throwing a punch @JH7.

Yes they need improvement but the L’ville QB made some crazy throws too. Twice he was dead to rights and threw up a prayer that was caught. He can play.

The final score might look different if not for surrendering a 31-17 lead with a 14-point swing by giving up a KR TD, a first play fumble, and a TD three players later.

We simply lack playmakers in the secondary

DLine also hasn’t been as disruptive as I would have thought, although we don’t lack talent there at all.

Hill didn't trust his coverage and grabbed at a guy, that's a player panicking for no good reason. The second PI was complete crap, dude threw an uncatchable ball and was bailed out by the ref.
