We are currently sitting at just under 39% or 73rd in the nation in third down conversion percentage. Your thoughts as to why?

I point to the lack of any real threat at TE. I would never have guessed that Asante would only have two catches on the season with only three games to go. He'll likely finish with only two catches.

Too many unfavorable 3rd down situations, i.e. third and longs. Inconsistent QB play (and when on point, inconsistent WRs). Lack of commitment to the running game.

dropped passes, missed passes.... runs that go for no gain or very short gains... puts us in less than favorable third down situations.

right here.

Incomplete pass on first down, short run/incomplete pass/short pass on 2nd down, 3rd and 7 all day

After the NC State team I believe we were top 20 in 3rd down conversion percentage. It's been all downhill since.

I like Morris, but his continued going down in flames is unacceptable. In my opinion the coaches are not doing him any favors by not giving him the hook when he struggles. If none of the other QB's aren't ready to at least be as inconsistent will they ever be ready to play?

Why is there no competition?
