Just finished watching the documentary on ESPNU. Somewhere towards the beginning my 12 year old sister said something that I found kind of funny yet kind of sad. She asked why they don't play and win like they did back then?

The worst part of that is that my sisters were born the same year we last won a national title! Even they see that things are completely different. This is not a bash on Coach Golden. He did come into a terrible situation, but there should be no more excuses. If we're going to lose at least let us lose with dignity. Some of the games the past few years you could just see it in the players that there was ZERO want.

That's the part that bothers me, the attitude when losing. The fight isn't there, they fold like lawn chairs at times, and it drives me nuts. Losing for me isn't the end of the world. How I lost is what is important, not losing in particular. Folding is a non negotiable. If I'm beat by a superior opponent, so be it, means I have work to do, and the result will be different the next time.

We need bad *** coach. Golden is not the answer, i expect us 7_5 this year. And with the level of talen this is just poor coaching and zero development, only player i see with the killer actitud is jamal carter, we need some m...fkers out there. Look at the pregame warm ups and "we want'em all" with out any suagg or intensity. I dont wanna see my team like this way.

Our old team was outlawed by ncaa, so that will never return. It was the destroyer of programs and even a couple conferences. It took control of football away from the major state institutions. They have taken it back and will never allow us to return to that form. We could return to our latest NC type team. They beat the crap out of people but were much better behaved. BUT that requires a special level of recruiting and player development. I am surprised the administration does not welcome Butch back. Sure he burned bridges and has some taint from UNC but he is the one guy who got players here who could win like days of old without the extras we love and the administration hates.

I prefer the older teams. They made college football entertaining and perhaps saved it form its then boring self. THE U was showtime. We where the perfect act. Talent, flash, scoring, hits, and a little extra dance routine throw in. Plus, we even let others beat us once in a while, well not the criminoles they always found a way to choke, just to keep it interesting. You could love us and enjoy and hate us and have a chance for the biggest win in your history. If we could return, us in a NC game would rival the Super bowl in TV ratings.

There's a lot of factors as we all know. Bottom line we haven't had a natural born leader under center since Ken Dorsey. Someone that can rally the troops when ***** going bad and pick them up. Make a big play when need be. A GOOD qb masks a lot of things. I think Kaaya is that guy. He can turn a franchise around and if given the chance just may save Al Goldens job here.

Herb Waters, Duke Johnson, Fig, Flowers, Bush, Howard, Chickillo should be on the field leaders this year. If not, we in big trubbs. SOMEONE on the field has to step it up and say, "LETS GO MAN. UUGHHH"

18-23 year olds aren't usually natural-born leaders. They need guidance in the form of good coaching. We do not have that and have not had that for over 10 years. Teams take on the attitude their head coach has. When our coach dances around the locker room singing "It's great to be a Miami Hurricane" like we just won the ACC, after barely beating an abysmal WF team, you expect our players to have an edge? How can you expect them to be great when the bar has been set so low?

We had great talent back in the day but we also had great coaches. Look at where a lot of those coaches ended up, career-wise.

Who do we have on staff now, that even remotely resembles a good coach?
