Man, I cannot think of a time in my life when I was less enthused for a football season. Maybe this year I will be enthusiastically surprised which would be a nice deviation from the past 10 season. Blake, Freet, Yandle & Co. can suck my ****. #renewed.

This is kind of heavy handed but sadly, in my heart of hearts, I kind of agree. I am excited. I look very forward to it. But my blind enthusiasm is gone. I have to qualify everything with "but that's assuming our coaching staff doesn't **** it up."

Such as: Golly, Duke Johnson and Stacey Coley are going to be BEASTS this year....assuming our coaching staff doesn't **** it up.

OR: Tyriq and AQM could be the best pass rush tandem in the ACC....assuming our coaching staff doesn't **** it up.

However, years of being kicked like a mangy mutt have me too gun shy to even open myself up to the possibility that our coaching staff will indeed NOT **** it up.

Maybe I am growing cynical as I age. Maybe it is just that we aren't close enough yet. I don't know. I hate this feeling. I just want our team to be fun again. But I am not nearly as hopeful as I used to be, even as recently as Christmas of last year.

Got to wait and see...I thought Stevie Mo was going to be huge for us last year...but for some reason the promise from his Jr year never really materialized. Perhaps my expectations were too high. After the last 8 years...I don't know what to expect.
 
I think if we get one our QBs to step up, we will be fine...I think we now have the dynamic and athletic players to beat the teams we're supposed to beat with our superior talent. Like I said depending on good QB play, we finally separate from the rest of our division.

Freet is the Senior Associate Athletic Director of Communications, Marketing and Sales. Our marketing machine is humming more loudly now than ever in recent memory. So loudly, in fact, that some of the younger and harrier of us have mistaken the PR as propaganda. We're being innovative. Sales at SunLife are improving.

Your distaste for the staff is misdirected at people like Freet.
