Final 5 for Daylen Russell. Unsure if he's a DT or DE or hybrid that can play both.

Cards do seem to be making a hard run at Columbus players

Rivals flipped their prediction for him to Miami last night and folks been asking Gaby on 247's board and he said the staff likes him and would take his commitment.

"and if Russell does pick Miami, it doesn’t change the overall numbers they would take or take up a spot that could be filled by someone else." - InsideTheU

With all the top talent looking at us, this like a wierd guy to take. I know it’s central, and maybe this guy has a lot of internal pull. Wierd situation imo

Perfect he's a depth piece.

He's not scaring any of the highly ranked guys away. If things don't work out as planned, or the big boys jump in and one of them decommits down the line we've got a solid local kid from a feeder school in the class already and don't have to scramble to save/rebuild a relationship with a local kid.

If this kid decommits because we stacked talent on top of him it'll be on him and a good problem to have.

learning from our mistakes. happened last year with CB recruiting and that kid who ended up FSU.

How many are we taking on the interior? Haven’t even seen this kid’s name mentioned much

Dam what is this bad news on our other d-line targets

We keep hearing about all these 4 and 5* DTs we're likely to sign but don't be surprised when all is said and done that local 3* DTs Russell and Nicholas are 2 of the 4 we sign.It should be easier if we only have to spend big NIL on only 2 DTs instead of 4 and it also makes sense as these 2 locals are more likely to accept a redshirt and not transfer right away.If we were to sign 4 top DTs it's very likely 1 or 2 transfer if they don't play early..
