Saw Rodgers in on a few big time plays last night. He is absolutely dreadful and if last night wasnt a fluke and he is actually improving, then I might have to reserve my previous transgressions of Coach D'readful. Rodgers did get burnt on 1 play, but he made about 80% of the plays that he could have and he made them well.

On another note, both of these teams had a bye week to prepare and Im glad to see we had them figured out as far as their offense goes.

He blitzed one time and looked scared to hit the guy in the backfield, when the guy was finally down he jumped on the pile.

Rayshawn, listen to me, put that dude on the bench son!!!!!!!!!!

Kacy had his best game as a Hurricane. Had a nice deflection on a slant pass in 1-on-1 coverage from bump and run coverage, and had some physical tackles.

TRUE, but let's hope this wasn't a fluke. Happy for the kid, but having one decent game in 3 years isn't something to have a thread discussion about.

i have to disagree with you in that regard. Kacey is the worst d1 safety I have ever seen. Jared Campbell is like Ed Reed compared to Rodgers. So for him to have a good game against a semi-decent team, a team that beat us last year with their offense, is notable. Probably a fluke, but for the D as a whole to improve throughout the season is a good sign. Granted, we should have never been at the bottom of the country anyway, but any improvement is good improvement.

Last nights game reminded me of OSU last year

When our safeties blitz they need to stop over running the play. I swear VT came through the OL on one blitz and was no where near Thomas.

Agree. I think he showed that his strong suit is playing in the box in press, rather than playing a centerfield safety.

Here is my take on Rogers. The coaches have given up on him playing safety on obvious passing situations. On 3rd and long he sprinted off the field to be replaced by Jenkins. Good move by the staff. Rogers has no ball skills. Now what it seems that they have found is that he can play the slot on passing downs. He played well there and looked like a different player from what we have seen. So it seems he will be a situational player going forward and I am good with that.

LOL, saw that, he ran past him like they were opposite lanes on the Interstate, wasn't even close.
