That last name makes me think he’s the principal’s son or relative. I did some projects with that principal when he was at another school and once again at the Ridge when they opened a STEAM magnet program. He’s a former college football player and a no nonsense guy. If this kid is anything similar, at minimum, he’s likely tough as nails.

Got to like that his dads the principal. I would think his dad loves the way Mario runs this program.

It's not easy to identify legitimate Power Four center prospects early on in a cycle, but Miami Southridge's Ryan Miret is tracking to be one of the top options in the Sunshine State for the class of 2026. A converted defensive lineman, Miret doesn't have a ton of game reps snapping the ball, but he looks like a natural in the middle as he finds leverage and displaces defenders with active hands.

While there isn't a ton of verified data available at the moment, the two-way snaps are extremely encouraging for Miret as a lot of centers playing on Sundays also pulled double-duty in high school. We're also fans of Miret's wrestling background as he placed third at Florida's 3A state tournament in the heavyweight division. Miret debuts with a high three-star grade of 87 and will continue to be evaluated. He reminds us a little bit of Miami offensive lineman Ryan Rodriguez, who came out of Miami-Dade a few cycles ago and repped at left guard for the Hurricanes last weekend. -- Ivins
