Great Addition to the class, I was able to watch him at the pg nationals. Good upside and LHP something we do not have a lot of.

What he committed to Miami of Ohio?

I'm sure he is. I'm just talking about his edit. Look what it says. Miami University
I saw your post about the Cruz kid and thats why i thought it was negative. Also I really don't think they accepted that kid cruz is commitment, They never posted a bat signal for it. The last two commitments we got were Jack Durso 2025 (NY) and 2026 Parker Allman (CA) I like both of the takes

Cruz wasn't a take. Already checked on it. Money is being put into the program now and the new scholarship take away our usual issue. Well see if he can right the shop. Don't have high hopes for him.

Its a lot more complicated than that. I was under the same impression you are under last week, but my thinking has completely changed after speaking to a few people. Issue with us is how are we going to add these scholarships. With title IX and the low amount of women's sports we have. Football is for sure going to get the additional 20 scholarships from 85 to 105. We would have to add 20 womens scholarships for just football.

I expect that football will be completely taken off the Title IX.

I asked about private schools and specifically Miami in this video and they talked about us.

Main difference when it relates to baseball is we now aren't relying on scholarships (or walk ons entirely). Atleast not walk ons who are paying their own way. Nil now has taken most of that into account from what I've been told. So it won't be split scholarships and vast majority of the roster deciding if the financial commitment necessary is worth it to attend here opposed to a significantly cheaper option in just about any public school. From the dudes I've known throughout the years who played for us that was always the most significant drawback. Now it's a non starter.

I understand everything costs money..and at Miami its typically a lot.

But Softball and/or soccer seem to be easy adds and each can be 18-22 roster spots.

Facilities then seem to be the big piece. Any place to squeeze a softball field in? Or would Inter Miami or whatever its call give us a massive discount to use the soccer field for games and then practice locally by putting some money into a local field.

I dont want it to sound like I'm making like we just get it done next week. But if they really wanted it at a school like Miami it could be done relatively quickly.

In the end we need the football team to start winning, drive applications, start making more money and it can help the school in so many ways.
