How does he compare to Kamari Wilson, Alfonzo Allen, Marquis Lymon? Is he on that level? Seems like we're in a good spot for those 3, maybe that's why no offer? Idk
He's behind all of them, but you still offer him to cover your bases.
- Wilson is the #1 ranked Safety in the 22 class & will have LSU, TAMU, UF & UGA doing what we all know they do to get his commitment.
- Fonzo we have a good chance with but being a Rosegreen kid Auburn, Bama, UGA & the rest of the SEC powers will be after him heavy, that's a recruitment that will go the distance.
- Marquis Lymon is the one we have the best shot with & I believe we'll land, as long as we win & don't fck it up.
Plus there's several others like Devin Moore, Semaj Flagg & Jaylin Marshall, the 22 Safety class is super deep, so I get why we might not take him now, but you still do your due diligence as a staff & offer, just in case.
The kid has been begging for an offer & is big time Canes fan for real, not like kids who just say it, he really would love to play for us, so you offer him & make him feel as though we're prioritizing him.
Because with how things workout for us we rarely ever get the top kids on our board at any position, so if we neglect a kid like this then miss on everybody we have ahead of him then go crawling back late trying to get his attention he'll feel slighted & tell us to fck off.
You recruit him now & treat him well & so that if/when we do end up having to take his commit it won't look like we're scrambling late & just accepting him because we got spurned by everybody else.
He's actually a good player too, so it's not like he's not worthy of an offer, he's not as highly ranked as the other Safeties in the 22 class, but he has very good upside & could be a solid player down the line.
