That's a good thing, the only thing early commits do for us is create the misery of waiting for the other shoe to drop when they "respect my decision" us to death & decommit.
The 22 class will be a good one if we win this season, winning 10+ games this year will help us more in the 22 class than it will in the 21 class.
As far as targets, the DE & Safety class locally for 2022 is extremely deep.
Shemar Stewart - ELITE 5-star & #1 ranked player in the nation for the 22 class.
Francois Nolton Jr
Kenyatta Jackson
Dante Anderson
Daniel Lyons
Nyjalik Kelly
Richard Thomas
Jamaal Johnson
Marvin Jones Jr (although he's more of an OLB/3-4 EDGE)
And at Safety you got:
Kamari Wilson
Marquis Lymon
Alfonzo Allen
Devin Moore
Jaylin Marshall
Semaj Flagg
Jaydon Hodge
At CB:
Earl Little Jr
James Monds III
Trevell Mullen
Elijah McCantos (Edison kid with very good upside)
Jacolby Spells (WR from AH with good speed)
& a few others.
At LB:
Leon Hart (another Edison kid)
Wesley Bissainthe (from Central)
Tray Brown (from Gibbons)
Travois Lathan (from Gulliver)
There's several others but didn't feel the need to list'em all & I only focused on Defense because the offense will take care of itself as it usually does in recruiting, we need to win more battles in recruiting for top tier Defensive players.
But the 22 class just like every other class is loaded locally on both sides of the ball & everything will be contingent upon how we perform on the field, we win & we'll have a good class, we lose & it'll be more of the same, top heavy class with a bunch of 3-stars who could be borderline 4-stars.
The only thing the staff needs to worry about for the 22 class is being more aggressive in recruiting CB's, because locally the majority of CB's (as usual) are not very interested in Miami, except for Monds, most of the South FL corners are not really considering Miami, so we need to take all-out attack approach for next year's CB recruits.
