2021 S Daymon David receives offer

Oklahoma likes this dude but idk if he’s a take for them. Athleticism and ball skills are there but needs to actually wrap up more consistently instead of leading with the shoulder.

OU is going to get the 2 best safeties in Oklahoma and both are 2 of the best 25 safeties in the country so they’re not a concern. I’m actually surprised that Maryland ain’t all over this.

I like the offer.

Plays with good recognition against the Run, I like his diagnosis ability. Has good footwork & good speed. His tackling needs work, he basically just lowers his head & throws his body, he's mainly a leg tackler, he chops the runner down, but that can set you up to get hurdled or stiff armed pretty mean if you don't see your target. Would like to see more in coverage, most of his film is just against the run, I didn't see much if any down field coverage plays.

Is no doubt a Box Safety/SS that can help against the run. Idk where he would be slotted on the big board being that we just offered him today, but I would assume Kinchens, Jardin Gilbert & Terrion Arnold are at the top of the board, although Arnold is likely going to Bama.

He's a prospect to keep tabs on & see how things shake out throughout the year.

Well I'm definitely a Ravens fan but I'm not from BMore lol

But this kid is a huge Sean Taylor fan, so I'd have to think we have some kinda shot at landing him if we recruit him enough.

I’ve been meaning to ask you about that. I grew up in the 305 like you but I’m older so I was a Fins fan. Different day I know. Did you become a Ravens fan bc of all of the Canes plus the Fins have been awful forever?

It was mainly because of Ray Lewis, when I grew up the only team I watched was the Canes & those early/mid 90's Canes were the first teams I ever watched, so once Ray went to the league I just followed him because he was one of my favorite players & because they were the first team I really watched in the NFL I just became a Ravens fan.

Plus with Duane Starks, Ed Reed, Tavares Gooden, McGahee when he eventually played there, Streeter for his brief stint in the league, but by that time I was already a full fledged fan. I started watching the Ravens in 96 & fell in love with their style of play ever since.

My Dad is a Phins fan, I never cared much for the Phins, loved Ricky Williams though lol. But the only Miami teams I ever liked was the Canes & Marlins, was never a Phins or Heat fan, just never got into either team.

I'm actually from Reisterstown and there is no redskins here (at least for the past 15-20 years lol)
 
This kid is hitting like that and is rail thin....just wait till he gets close to 190.

His tape is pretty solid. If we can pair him with a south florida beast i wouldnt mind at all
