6'3 190lbs (is also listed as 6'4 205lbs) 4-star QB out of Lubbock Texas, goes to 5A school Coronado.

Dual sport athlete that plays both Football & Baseball, had a great Sophomore season with 3,683yds 43TD's & 7INT's at 64.8%cmp. And currently in his Junior season has 1,129yds 9TD's & 4INT's in just 4 games.

Under the radar TX QB, is a tall prototypical Air Raid QB, big arm with accuracy, throws with velocity but has a bit of an elongated release but his mechanics can be cleaned up with coaching.

Only holds offers from Wisconsin, SMU & Tulsa, and was just offered by Wash St last Friday.

Obviously you assume a kid like this will stay home in TX, but Texas already has Jalen Milroe committed for 21 & TAMU has Eli Stowers.

A kid from Lubbock you would think would be a lock to TTech but they're after Behren Morton for their 21 class.

It remains to be seen if he gets offered by Baylor or TCU, but I still feel we should offer him anyway just in case.

He's a good prospect & you never know he may feel slighted by not getting early attention from the local schools.

And of course one thing that could hold us back is he probably wouldn't be all that interested in playing in this style of offense lol... (Sigh)

This is a kid that could blow up huge. Or he could be overlooked.

Either way, he's one of those kids that could very well end up extremely successful at the next level. (Yeah, I see the hitch, it's called a "teapot hitch" because he arches his back shoulder down on his windup. And yes, it can be cleaned up).

If we get a kid like this, I could care less about Garcia. It's when we don't get kids like this that losing guys like Garcia hurts.

Fortunately, it's a long way to December 2020.
 
Wouldn’t blame him if he went to Washington state. Leach is a qb guru and qb from Washington state are doing decent in the nfl

The texas schools seem to be focused on dual threat guys and we need a pocket passer which texas produces a lot of. Good mix imo

This was worth creating an account for... Sawyer's dad was recruited by Jimmy Johnson and Ron Fraser, and was coming to the U to play both football and baseball. He ended up getting drafted in the MLB draft by the Expos so never made it to campus. Call this kid.
