gotta be smart with recruiting those years, these windows of greatness can be real short if you start recruiting frontrunners that aren't a good fit at your program ask the noles

As long as 75% or more of the class is from Florida, I'm happy.
Don't need to be leaving south florida for too many players.

We do if we want to be elite on the OL and at QB.

South Florida has been alot better recently in producing OL and QBs. That said, nobody is suggesting we take NO out-of-state recruits. It's just that we have so much talent in our backyard that we should look here 1st. It's also much easier to evaluate kids that play a few miles away. For a kid across the country, you're relying on his film and reputation.

Approximate formula - 60% So FL (Dade, Broward, Palm Beach); 20% rest of state; 20% out-of-state.

Miami currently has the #4 recruiting class in the nation in 2018. While Miami is obviously focusing on their 2018 class, the recruits from the class of 2021 and 2020 are taking notice of the Hurricanes.

Here are some of the reactions from some of Miami's top targets in those two classes

2021 Booker T. Washington WR Jacorey Brooks: That was a great game the other day, I was into the game as if I was playing that’s how intense it was. Also winning at home against a rival team is dope.

2020 Deerfield Beach RB Jaylan Knighton: Miami played hard and fast, and it was at a paste that Notre Dame couldn’t keep up with. That helps me with my recruitment because that shows me that the best man plays at all time long as you getting your job done. The stadium is beautiful.

2020 Belen Jesuit RB Don Chaney: This win was an amazing win for Miami and Miami is still one of my top priorities.

2020 Champagnat-Catholic ATH Marc Britt: The crowd was crazy, lots of people having fun, it the loudest game I’ve ever been to, it was great

2021 Katy (TX) LT Hayden Conner: I'm really happy for Coach Richt and the team! Coach Richt is doing something really special and it's hard not to notice. The Notre Dame win was HUGE yesterday and a win vs Clemson in the ACC championship will be even bigger. I'd love to see Miami in the National Championship Playoff. I had to go to film and workout yesterday morning but we recorded College Game Day so I could watch when I got home. I get all of the Miami game alerts on my phone so I can follow every week. I message Coach Baez at least every other week. I'll be back in town mid-December for the Adidas Freshman All-American Game and hope to be able to come by and see the team preparing for a National Championship.

2020 Oakleaf DE Chantz Williams: Miami looked like the old Miami last night and it has definitely caused a shift in my recruiting process!

2020 Cocoa ATH Caziah Holmes: The atmosphere and crowd was great. Made me wanna get on the field and play.

2020 Vangard OL Miller Lewis: Last night was incredible! I have been to other stadiums for games but what I experienced at the Hard Rock exceeded ALL of my expectations. The crowd is like no other. The atmosphere was lit. I will most definitely be back for more.

2021 Miami Central RB Amari Daniels: I’m glad they won, big props to them. That’s just put them higher on my radar

2020 Oconee County HS (GA) QB Max Johnson: Great to see The "U" win week after week. Looks like everyone is having fun

2020 Providence Day School (NC) WR Porter Rooks: Miami is looking really good this year. They are playing powerhouse football. I'm looking forward to eventually visiting Miami’s campus.

2020 New Canaan HS (CT) QB Drew Pyne: Miami is 9-0 and one of the top-ranked teams in the nation. They are a great program with a rich tradition and Coach Richt is doing an outstanding job. Go Canes!

2020 Franklin (TN) OT Jake Wray: The U is back baby. It brings the cool factor back to Miami

2020 Marietta (GA) QB Harrison Bailey: You know it doesn’t matter to me win or lose Miami always a school I will be considering

2021 Jean Ribault HS WR/TE Christopher Johnson: I Liked The Fact That Miami Played As A Team The Whole Game From The Start To End And It Started On The Defense Side Of The Ball.

Jake Wray is transferring to my school this summer. His older brother is an Ohio State commit though.
