Shadow Creek had a WR for the 2021 class that I really liked. He was a 3* but ran a 10.6 100 meter & averaged 30 yards a catch, believe he signed with Texas Tech.

Edit: He signed with Houston. He looked like he was shot out of a cannon on film

With all these highly rated kids hitting the portal so early you have to believe it's only a matter of time we see a cane or 2 do the same.I would be concerned with some of our younger players that didn't get much burn like K.Smith,Harell,holley.
Precisely why the defer to Seniority philosophy this staff has will backfire in their face if they don’t snap out of it.

Especially when you start signing highly valued 4/5-star players, if they don’t play they’re out.

Our LB & WR group immediately comes to mind.

I’m still amazed Huff isn’t getting any burn

Agree, with the immediate transfer now they better let the young studs eat early or they will be jumping ship.

People make too much of huff and his play. it is what it is. he was a plus athlete with little experience at what we ask of Lbs or instincts for it obviously. He’s a RS frosh. he may get there, may not, but flagg’s just a different type of prospect - better instincts, less physical upside.

personally, i think we’ve underfocused on instincts in LB evals for ages. but the huff topic seems dumb. it’s obvious he’s a different development project from flagg. we have no idea who will be better. not sure what there is to say right now.

Huff needed the spring and summer practice more than just about anyone on the team with how late he showed up to camp last year. This year slowed down his development a ton. I'm not expecting anything from him for another year or two

They play Flagg. What’s the reasoning behind it? Huff has actually been in the program longer than Flagg. So it can’t be just be because those guys or older.
Flagg plays middle. Huff is an OLB. It appears Huff/Cave split those back up reps behind Steed/Mccloud

This is why im always confused when they keep bringing him up. Literally a freshman...an undersized one at that coming in.

Well stated Liberty. Hopefully Manny sees that the seat is still hot and cans Baker, Patke, and Rumph. Bring in Gillespie from Tulsa. Don Brown I think is past his prime. We need you g, innovative coaches defensively; who will allow Manny to be the CEO he should be.

let's hope he's capable of performing that role.
