He's a 6'0 185lbs 3-star CB out of Hollywood, goes to Chaminade.

I liked him back then & would still kick the tires on offering him now if we don't land Davonte Brown.

Has good measurables, runs a 4.59, 4.38 shuttle 34inch vert, finished his HS career with 71tcks 13PBU's & 5INT's (his Junior & Senior year seasons). He's a big physical Corner with good technique & footwork, he understands how to reroute WR's & is good in press cover man with good ball skills, is also a very good tackler & can diagnose well, smart football player.

With him de-committing from Minnesota I would definitely hit him up & get him down for a visit if he's not signing early, he's a kid you can bring in for a OV in January & possibly work a commit for NSD in Feb.

I don't think the staff has ever recruited him or even shown any interest, but if we miss on Brown, it's time they expand the CB board.

Rumph will fake offer him, evaluate him (should have evaluated him last year), accept his commitment, then think about whether he wants to drop him. In other words...Rumph gonna Rumph. I liked this kid his junior year, didn't watch much of his senior stuff.

EDIT: Just watched, nice player, as good as some we are committing, but if I had to predict, maybe safety as opposed to corner?

I agree we should be in touch with January. I'm hoping Delancey if this Brown doesn't commit soon? Rumph was at MNW today

So I take it as one side or the other in the whole Delancey thing said no?

I'd say Hodges is next in line...I'm sure he will be really receptive to the Mike Rumph "who-is-my-favorite-backup-plan-and -let-me-offer-them-only afte-the-previous-one-laughs -in-my-face" recruiting plan.

Rumph and Barry gotta go...they are overmatched on the recruiting trail.
 
The people who are responsible for recruiting the DBs, Rumph and Banda, have to go. The recruiting is all over the place and is just bad. People kept defending Rumph on how he got 3 4 stars CBs in the 2018 class, but only 1 seems to be able to actually play CB at a high level, Blades. Better hope Williams and Couch can push for time next, if not its gonna get ugly real soon. Banda is ****** as well.

Yes, it's way past apparent. Rumph gotta go, it's like he has recruit repellent...

At least Rumph, preferably both.
