Just wanted to get everyone’s thoughts on the OL recruiting for this cycle. I feel Miami should take 5 guys. Losing Jones, Gauither, St. Louis, and going to tell Milo to scram probably.

Obviously Neal is the number 1 guy, then Miami has Tarquin and Eguakun committed. Wright is another target, but he has to get on campus for a realistic chance. I believe other options include Stacey Wilkins, Jakai Moore, and Kardell Thomas. I’m sure other guys will pop up between now and the fall.

4 not 5. You dont wanna overtake guys from the same position in a class. You want to gradually fill up depth to have guys in different stages of development.

I’m also saying 5 because I feel like George Brown, Mahoney, or Zach Dykstra will transfer if they don’t get the playing time.

Dykstra will only be a sophomore next season...Mahoney played LAST YEAR in the rotation...he may even start some games. George Brown has already transferred once. OL is different than skill spots. These guys are going to wait their time and develop. George Brown could be the only candidate and its a slim chance on him if he is in the top 2 at tackle where we are weak at.

Need to flip wardrick Wilson from Florida too

Think this can be done if we really offer him and pursue. Kid has good tools. Is out of the Daxon, Anele, Elijah Roberts work out group. All kids we currently have committed except him

Right, Dykstra still has a couple of years to develop. Guys have transferred more then once in their careers, not the smartest move but it’s happened. Dayall Harris will be on his 4th school in 5 years this season. If Miami gets a couple elite tackles, then Brown might be out.

Brown wont be a transfer candidate till he graduates.. so would have to watch for spring of next year

Land Neal, keep Egakun & Tarquin.

Then try to get either Darius Washington, Jeremy James or Wardrick Wilson as the other OT.
I think there are much better guys to go after then Washington and James. Didn’t James get abused at Miami’s junior day?

Have you seen actual game film of him? Haven't been able to find any. I know he looks the part in pictures, but I need more than that to go off of

Wardrick Wilson Under Armour Highlights

Bahamian Kid fairly new to football. With the continued projection will be a good player by his soph year. I like him as an interior prospect or potential project tackle. Theres another bahamian kid on the ol too in Michael Cartwright who may be a sleeper as a potential tackle prospect.
I Like Maurice Smith as a center prospect...but i think thats the Duval kids spot. Smith is really good..Miami Central has produced a wave of quality ol for the last 5+ years
